Who are we?

Welcome to the The People’s Game, we look at the terrible amounts of discrimination that tarnish our beautiful game.

We’ll be speaking to some female referees about the horrid abuse they have faced on pitch, including one teenager that was told she would be raped by some vile fans.

Kick It Out, footballs ‘equality and inclusion organisation’, revealed there was just under 500 reports of discrimination last year, a statistic that has risen for the fifth consecutive year.

48% of cases were related to race, 21% to homophobia and just under 10% to sexism.

We not only look at how football has been hindered by discrimination, but we ask the vital question: what can be done to stop it?
